Being located next to the main road means you are quickly on your way to wherever you are going, The Idle Monkey is within an hour of most of the Garden Routes attractions be it, Titsikama National Park, bungee jumping, whale watching, visiting the snakes, monkey, big cats and birds, a safari in an open safari car or on horse back, cycling, walking, fishing, sailing, surfing, running or even taking a spectacular drive through some of the most scenic passes you will see. We are also located close to countless golf courses and welcome enquiries from golf clubs or golfing syndicates arranging golfing holidays. Here at The Idle Monkey our philosophy is to give our guests comfortable beds and quality breakfast at an affordable price. Before you head out in the morning, help yourself to our buffet breakfast with cereal, yogurt, preserves, juice, coffee and cheese, and then order from our cooked breakfast menu for a traditional cooked breakfast or omelette. Breakfast is taken in our impressive double volume thatched dining room under the exposed thatch and beams. For guests who do not eat pork or only halal prepared food we can accommodate them as well subject to us being given sufficient notice of your requirement. We can also cater for any non-allergic food hypersensitivity again subject to us being given sufficient notice of your requirements. Our recenly opened self catering unit offers our guests flexibility during their stay. The unit can be booked fully with sole use of the kithcen and lounge. step out of the kitchen door straight into the pool area. the self catering unit can be serviced or not, and you can still enjoy a cooked breakfast in the B&B if you don't fancy cooking. However it can be booked completely for those just looking for a romantic get waay just for two.
