Inyathi Guest Lodge has affordable, based in the centre of knysna town centre, timber chalets situated in a lush garden, african style, in the heart of the garden route.

They both share a huge passion for nature, the outdoors and the environment, and enjoy all aspects of the culture and diversity that South Africa offers. Helen is originally from South Wales in the United Kingdom, and therefore enjoys a good pint and watching the rugby. Previously a Structural Engineer, she has worked and travelled all over Australasia, Northern America and Europe. She came to South Africa on a holiday ten years ago and never left. Riaan is South African, and decided early in life to follow his passion of the adventurous outdoors. This took him to spend five years working in the US, teaching all areas of adventure and outdoor activities. He then carried on his love of the outdoors, when he returned to SA by becoming a tour guide for a local tour company. Riaan has spent years travelling through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, running tours for many different groups of people. Helen and Riaan met one day on a dusty road in Namibia, and if you ask them, have many, many stories and adventures which they can share with you about beautiful Africa. Our great new premises is also only a five minute walk to the Lagoon, Thesen Island shops and restaurants, Mitchell’s Brewery and the Knysna High School Fields. There are One Bedroom Chalets (with a double bed), and Two Bedroom Chalets (with one bedroom with double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds) ideal for families or friends travelling together. Their ambition at Inyathi is to provide great, personal customer service and affordable comfortable accommodation, within a relaxed and peaceful setting. Their local knowledge of Knysna and the entire Garden Route is second to none, and right from the start can offer you help and advice with all your plans and activities, along with some great discounts on most tourist attractions.
