Peace of Eden Traveler's Lodge, Backpacker & self cater Chalets is set alongside beautiful indigenous forest filled with an amazing assortment of small wild life and birdsong. Only 6 km's west of Knysna and 8 km's along the Rheenedal Road in the heart of the Garden Route.A magical driveway leads you to a variety of accommodation units, from Wooden Barn Cabins for Hostel Traveler's, to Safari tents on timber decks in the forest to self cater Woodcutter Chalets and a fairytale double story self cater Cottage that lie alongside forest and fields where friendly horses look up with a welcoming gaze. Friendly staff are there to welcome you and owners Jen and Howard are always ready to inspire you with tips on travel in South Africa.

We are out of the ordinary, so expect wild life to come visiting, birds to be nesting and bee's to be buzzing. We are here to chat to the monkeys, clap when the baboons come visiting, give you clean sheets and generally ensure you have a peaceful carefree time with little bits of spice thrown in the mix with the peace. We are a mix of creative, musical, soulful artists and artisans. We are owners, gardeners, cleaners, drivers, managers, assistants and volunteers. We are all uniquely adaptable, we work as a family, caring for each other other beyond the gates. The peace family are here to ensure you are comfortable and feel at home. We will assist you with advice and guidance about what to see and where to go. We organise guided forest walks, massages, vegetarian cooking classes, yoga and meditations, we know all the local secret spots worth exploring and we only endorse ethical and fair trade tourist attractions along the Garden Route. We offer vegetarian cuisine so you can unwind in style whilst we share our knowledge, menu's and delicious vegetarian meals in the comfort of your Cottage or you can dine 'el fresco' under the boughs of a giant white stinkwood tree. Whilst here, you can go for early morning walks meandering along winding pathways in our forest down to a little stream or go and have a lazy afternoon relaxing at the lily pond. Come sunset, stroll along to our veggie garden to pick some greens for a healthy meal, cooked under an expansive starry night sky.
