A Unique & Historical Garden Route Experience Portland Manor Country Estate nestles in the foothills of the majestic Outeniqua mountains, just 15 km from the holiday town of Knysna. Situated high in the hills above Knysna, Portland Manor is a beautiful historical citrus and game estate. You are invited to stay with us to experience the warmth and comfort of country life at its best. We also offer the perfect facilities for private or corporate functions. Four star country cuisine is served in the Manor House dining room, with crystal chandeliers. Built in the 1800s, Portland Manor, a country manor which overlooks the beautiful seaside town of Knysna, has provided a home away from home for weary travellers and holidaymakers on the picturesque hills of Rheenendal for decades. This history has made the establishment inseparable from the Garden Route’s evergreen vegetation, diverse wildlife and birdlife, golden sandy beaches and the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. If any items are damaged or broken during your stay, you will be responsible for the replacement cost of the item. All guests should have considerations for other guests during their stay. Should we find guests behaviour in such a manner that cause an upset, harm or distress to any third party, we will have to bring your stay to an end. We will have no responsibility towards the guests after leaving. Nestled in the foothills of the Outeniqua mountain range a mere 20 km northwest of Knysna this historic Estate provides the perfect setting for the realisation of your wedding day dream. We offer rooms ranging from luxury, double deluxe, family suites and the ultimate executive suite Lawn wood Lodge has 19 tastefully decorated rooms including double rooms, which are ideal for small families. Our luxury rooms are spacious and individually furnished and some of them have log burning fireplaces and en-suite facilities, there is also a large lounge area for guests to enjoy. Each room(Lawnwood Lodge) has a television with local channels and tea and coffee making facilities. The Manor House rooms, still original, with no tv's and bathrooms with baths only, no showers. There is also a large lounge for our guests to enjoy, as well as an outside bar over looking game camp. The Manor house has been furnished with antiques ranging from crystal chandeliers from 1864 (the date the house was finished) through to the 1950’s, in keeping with the property.
